Who we are

The Water Hazard is a floating golf attraction available to hire and purchase across the UK. We are operated by The Water Hazard and can be contacted at info@thewaterhazard.co.uk.

This privacy policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights in relation to it. We are committed to handling your data responsibly and in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What data we collect

Enquiry forms

When you submit an enquiry via our website, we collect your name, email address, organisation or venue name, and any information you include in your message. This data is processed via Formspree and delivered to our email inbox. We use it solely to respond to your enquiry.

Wall of Fame submissions

When you submit a shot to our Wall of Fame, we collect your name, venue or event name, a link to your video, and any description you provide. By submitting, you consent to us potentially featuring your submission on this website and our social media channels. We will not share your contact details with third parties.

Website analytics

We may use basic analytics tools to understand how visitors use our website. This may include information such as pages visited, time spent on the site, and general geographic location. We do not use this data to identify individuals.

How we use your data

We use the personal data you provide solely for the purposes for which it was submitted — responding to enquiries, processing bookings, and featuring Wall of Fame submissions where consent has been given. We do not sell, rent or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

How long we keep your data

Enquiry data is retained for up to 24 months from the date of submission, or for as long as is necessary to manage an ongoing booking or business relationship. Wall of Fame submissions are retained for as long as the page remains live. You can request deletion at any time.

Third party services

Formspree

Our enquiry forms are processed by Formspree (formspree.io). When you submit a form, your data passes through Formspree's servers before being delivered to us. Formspree's own privacy policy applies to this processing. You can view it at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.

Google Fonts

Our website uses Google Fonts to display typography. This may result in your browser making a request to Google's servers. Google's privacy policy applies to any data collected in this process.

Cookies

Our website does not currently use tracking or advertising cookies. We may use basic session cookies necessary for the site to function. You can control cookie settings through your browser.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, object to our processing of your data, and lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at info@thewaterhazard.co.uk.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. We recommend checking this page periodically if you have submitted data to us.
